What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

CrossFit delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. It's specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease, cross country runners preparing for a race, and the everyday person just trying to get "fit". We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

Who is NOMAD?

We are an established CrossFit Gym in the Madison and surrounding area.  We practice virtuosity (doing the common, uncommonly well) in every coaching session, CF class, or Foundations.  We have an environment in our gym that is relaxed, comfortable, and where the focus in on you the client.  We know your name because this is your home; we are a family, a community.  This is a place where real life happens, where you put your all in a workout, and this is a place where transformations take place of the mind and body.

We believe in CrossFit and what it can do for you.  Our programming consists of CrossFit to give you the best results.  Each class is coach led with experienced staff and trainers and consists of a warm-up, mobility, a strength workout, and a metabolic conditioning workout.  We discuss the how and why of this class structure in our Foundations Course.

Our Coaches

We have a great coaching staff that has experience to bring you the results you are looking for.  All of our trainers all have the CrossFit Level 1 coaching certificate.  Our coaching staff have an accumulation of over 10 years CrossFitting experience and  5 years coaching experience.  Together, we hold these certifications: USAW,  CrossFit Olympic Lifting,  and CrossFit Mobility.

Our Facilities

We are conveniently located on Madison Blvd close to the airport.  We have over 4000 square feet and with 3,000 square feet of workout space.  There are no machines at our gym; you are the machine!
